Agreed prices per customer, part and service level, each valid for a period. The agreement is with the customer, so the same board carries a different rate for a different customer.

Rates are not restricted to contract customers. A contract customer's job is priced from the rate automatically; an ad-hoc customer's rate, where one exists, seeds the quotation as its starting point rather than pricing the job outright. A work order takes the rate in force on its registration date; a later revision never reprices work already in hand. Two active rates with overlapping validity for the same customer, reference and level is a configuration error, not a business choice — pricing is blocked until it is resolved.
